Network setup
Before static customers can be let online, each router that serves them needs a static
network: the range their fixed IPs come from. You set this up per router in Statics →
Settings (/dashboard/statics/settings). Only owners and statics admins can open it.
Set up a router
Section titled “Set up a router”The page lists every router device as a card, with an online badge and a status badge.
- Find the router’s card.
- Enter the Static Network (CIDR), for example
10.27.0.0/16. The card shows the Bridge gateway this gives (the first usable address in the network). Customers use it as their default gateway. - Set Next IP to assign, for example
10.27.0.11. New customers on this router get the next free IP from here. - Check the Static LAN interface. This is the interface the static network lives on. It
defaults to the ISPMan bridge; change it to a VLAN, a physical port (such as
ether2orsfp1) or another bridge if your static customers are connected there. - Click Apply. The card shows each step as it runs.
When Apply finishes, the status badge reads Applied with the time. On the router, ISPMan has:
- bound the gateway address to the interface,
- let the static network bypass the hotspot,
- blocked unpaid static IPs from the internet, and allowed paid ones,
- added NAT for paid IPs and let them skip the captive portal,
- added a rule so customers behind their own router (double NAT) work properly,
- where usage reporting is available, installed a small script that reports each customer’s data usage.
Status badges
Section titled “Status badges”| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not configured | No static network set for this router. |
| Not applied | A network is saved but hasn’t been pushed to the router. |
| Applying… | An apply is running. The buttons are disabled until it finishes. |
| Applied | The rules are on the router. |
| Network changed — re-apply | You changed the network since the last apply. Click Apply again. |
| Failed | The last apply didn’t finish, often because the router was offline. Check the steps and try again. |
| Removing… | A remove is running. |
Save only (migrating a live network)
Section titled “Save only (migrating a live network)”If the static network is already working on the router and you’re moving your customers into ISPMan, click Save only instead of Apply. This saves the network without touching the router. Then import the customers (see Customers); the rules are pushed when the first imported customer is connected.
Remove
Section titled “Remove”Remove takes all ISPMan static configuration off the router. You’ll be asked to confirm: static customers on that router lose access until you apply again.
Activity tables
Section titled “Activity tables”Below the router cards:
- Recent setup activity: each setup step per router, with its status and time.
- Recent customer connect activity: each connect and disconnect sent to a router for a customer, with the outcome. The same list is on Statics → Recent Logs.
- Use a network that doesn’t overlap your hotspot or PPPoE pools.
- Give each router its own static network. IPs only have to be unique within a router.
- If Apply fails, check the router is online in Devices, then try again.
