Devices overview
The Devices menu is where you add and manage the network hardware your business runs on: the MikroTik and Ruijie routers that serve your hotspot and PPPoE customers, plus OLTs, TR-069 CPEs (ONUs/ONTs) and the remote-access tools you use to reach them.
A router must be added and onboarded in ISPMan before you can create a hotspot or PPPoE server on it. Onboarding connects the router to ISPMan over a secure management tunnel, so the dashboard can read its status and push configuration to it.
What’s in the Devices menu
Section titled “What’s in the Devices menu”| Menu item | Path | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| All Devices | /dashboard/devices/all |
Every router you have added, with type, IP, location, last seen and configuration-audit status. The Add button lives here. |
| Network | /dashboard/devices/network |
A live map of your network: routers, access points and the hotspot, PPPoE and static users behind them. |
| Mikrotiks | /dashboard/devices/mikrotiks |
Just your MikroTik (RouterOS) routers, with version and Active/Inactive status. |
| Ruijies | /dashboard/devices/ruijies |
Your Ruijie gateways. |
| Teltonikas | /dashboard/devices/teltonikas |
Teltonika (RutOS) cellular routers registered to your account. |
| OLTs | /dashboard/devices/olts |
Fibre OLTs monitored over SNMP (or the web UI for Tenda). |
| Logs | /dashboard/devices/logs |
Log messages sent by all your devices. |
| Wireguard | /dashboard/devices/wireguard |
The optional Leo WireGuard management network for remote access. |
| TR-069 | /dashboard/devices/tr069 |
CPE management through a TR-069 ACS: ONUs, faults, provisioning and firmware. |
Ruijies, Teltonikas, OLTs and TR-069 are optional services. If you don’t use them, you can hide them from your menus in the Dashboard settings drawer, under Services. Hiding a service only tidies the menu; it does not delete anything.
Supported device types
Section titled “Supported device types”| Type | Operating system | What ISPMan does with it |
|---|---|---|
| MikroTik | RouterOS | Full management: onboarding script, hotspot and PPPoE servers, status, logs, telemetry, config audit, daily configuration backups, Winbox access. |
| Ruijie | RGOS | Connectivity and captive portal only: WireGuard tunnel, RADIUS and captive portal settings pushed through Ruijie Cloud. Everything else stays in Ruijie’s own tools. |
| Teltonika | RutOS | Listed with IP, version and last-seen. |
| OLT | Vendor firmware | Read-only monitoring of PON ports, ONUs, optical levels and alarms. |
| TR-069 CPE | Any TR-069 device | Status, WiFi/WAN settings, PPPoE provisioning, reboot, factory reset and firmware upgrades through your ACS. |
Who can see and change devices
Section titled “Who can see and change devices”- Owner, devices admin and devices reader roles can open the Devices menu. Readers can look but not change anything.
- Changing a router (scripts, hotspot/PPPoE setup, reboot, delete, config audit fixes, resetting passwords) needs owner, admin, operator or devices admin.
- Wireguard and TR-069 are limited to owners and devices admins.
- If you use branches, staff restricted to a branch see only that branch’s devices (plus devices not assigned to any branch).
Device limit
Section titled “Device limit”Each account can add a fixed number of devices. When you reach it, the Add button is greyed out and shows “Device limit reached (N devices). Contact support to add more.”
Typical first steps
Section titled “Typical first steps”- Add and onboard a MikroTik router.
- Create a hotspot or PPPoE server on it. See Hotspot and PPPoE.
- Turn on device alerts so you hear about outages.
- Optionally set up Winbox remote access.
