SMS templates
An SMS template is a saved message with placeholders, such as
Hi {{CUSTOMER_NAME}}, your {{PPPOE_PACKAGE_NAME}} expires on {{PPPOE_PAID_UNTIL_DATE}}. When ISPMan sends it, each placeholder is replaced
with that customer’s details. Use templates for automatic messages (welcome,
payment confirmation, expiry reminders, outages) and for bulk sends.
Go to Comms → SMS → Templates (/dashboard/sms/templates).
Create a template
Section titled “Create a template”- Click the add button at the top of SMS Templates (it opens
/dashboard/sms/templates/new). - Enter a Template Name and an optional Description (Optional).
- Choose a Category (Optional): Payment Confirmation, Expiry Reminder, Welcome, Package Upgrade, Account Status, Promotional or Custom.
- Write the Message Content. Insert variables from Available Variables
(Click to Insert) on the right; use the search box to find one. Clicking a
variable adds it to the end of your message as
{{VARIABLE_NAME}}. - Click Preview Message to see it filled in with sample data from a real customer in your system.
- Make sure Active is on, and click Save Template (Update Template when editing).
To change a template, click it in the SMS Templates list. To remove it, open it and click Delete Template, then Confirm Delete. This can’t be undone.
